Dear Colleague,
As 2017 comes to an end, our thoughts turn gratefully to all who have made EASL’s progress possible throughout the year. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your involvement. Together, we have achieved many great things in the field of Hepatology.
Sharing EASL knowledge.

Together, we have organized and supported events around the world: The International Liver CongressTM, 1 NAFLD summit, 1 HCC summit, 1 EASL Monothematic Conference, 1 EASL-AASLD Masterclass, 2 EASL Schools,1 co-organised EASL-AASLD meeting, and 18 endorsed/sponsored events.

This year, on February 4th, World Cancer Day took place at the same time as the EASL HCC summit. To celebrate this occasion, EASL joined forces with the UICC (Union for International Cancer Control) to raise awareness. We created a liver cancer dedicated campaign; hundreds of you joined the cause by sending us pictures and spreading the word to raise awareness about HCC. We deeply thank you for your support and engagement.

We have also shared the latest research, developments, and expertise through our publications: 12 issues of The Journal of Hepatology, 1 supplement, 11 snapshots and
4 Clinical Practice Guidelines. The journal was cited over 30,000 times in 2016, making it the fifth most highly cited journal in the field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
