Dear Dr. Sergeenko,
Thank you for the call today, I think was very productive. I would like to ask if you would be amendable to deliver a talk, as per agenda,
Progress towards decentralization and integration of HCV services in primary care, hospitals and harm reduction settings in Georgia. at
upcoming EASL in Paris, April. Please note that the session has not yet had approval/final from EASL yet, but we are hopeful of approval, and hope you would consider participating.
Best regards, FA

Dear Muazzam,
We have discussed and there may be a 90 minutes slot on Thursday 12th from
12-13.30 where we could accommodate this request in the official program.
What is not clear to me is what is implicit in the CDC sponsoring, reason for asking we are out of official invitation slots and would need to understand financial implications (travel/housing
mainly, registration less of a problem). Furthermore, to finalize this extra session warrants a rapid turnaround, since we are finalizing the printed congress book these days, and ideally we should receive your draft by the end of this week.
Please let us know how to proceed.
All the best,
Tom

Dear Dr. Karlsen,
Thank you for your email. I will soon be in touch with Devi and Nathalie regarding the side meeting.
Decentralization and integration of HCV diagnostics, care and treatment is a key for elimination, and this proposed CDC-EASL session along with WHO will provide real time examples of decentralization
in different low and middle income countries. At the end of presentations, we may hold a panel discussion highlighting lessons learned and way forward.
I look forward to your encouraging reply.
Best regards,
Muazzam

Dear Nasrullah,
#1 As to reserving a location for the "side meeting" on Georgia (which will not be part of the official program in accordance with previous discussions), please be in touch with Devi Mey and Nathalie
Huguenin in cc.
#2 As to the new proposal, we will discuss and revert to you shortly. Please be aware that the program is quite finalized already, and we have to check for redundancy and room availability.
Yours sincerely,
Tom

Hi Grégoire,
I hope you are well. A few weeks ago we participated in the 3rd Technical Advisory Group (TAG) meeting in Tbilisi, Georgia, where leading international leading experts from different countries
assessed the progress of the Georgia HCV Elimination Program. One of the themes that emerged during TAG was the need to decentralize care and treatment services, including in harm reduction and primary care settings. We convened the first meeting on decentralization
of HCV care and treatment services in Tbilisi, Georgia the week after TAG where key stakeholders, including Ministry of Health, clinicians, laboratorians, CDC, and WHO discussed the way forward.
Given the importance of this topic, not only in Georgia, but internationally, we would like to propose, like last year in Amsterdam, an EASL-CDC “Special Session on Decentralization and Integration
of HCV Diagnostics, Care and Treatment” as part of the program of the International Liver Congress, April 11-15, 2018. I am attaching a draft proposal with topics for presentations.
Additionally, we would like to hold a separate “side meeting” at the congress on “Progress Toward HCV Elimination in Georgia”.
I wanted to make sure that you had these proposed ideas before the EASL Governing Board meeting.
Thanks again for your collaboration and support, I look forward to the outcome of board meeting, and hope the EASL Board will favorably consider these proposals.
Happy Holidays!
Muazzam

Dear Dr. Pavillon,
I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to request, as we did during last EASL conference, a “Special Session on HCV Elimination in Georgia” in the upcoming EASL conference in Paris. See the
attached, our communications with you on the successful session in Amsterdam, and an update on progress/lessons learned, published in MMWR (on World Hepatitis Day this year, July 28), and Nature Review/Gastro (see below links).

Please let us know if this is possible and, if so, what are the next steps.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
