Dear David Sergeenko,
With 6 months to go until the World Hepatitis Summit 2017, we wanted to give you a brief update on the progress of this important global event.

Programme now live!

The programme for the Summit has now been launched and can be viewed at www.worldhepatitissummit.org/programme

This year’s theme is Implementing the Global Health Sector Strategy on Viral Hepatitis (GHSS): Towards the elimination of hepatitis as a public health threat.

The programme seeks to promote advocacy, encourage the exchange of ideas and facilitate learning to use in the fight against viral hepatitis. It has been created by a Programme Secretariat and sub-Committees made up of experts in the field of hepatitis and civil society groups. Additional content and speakers will continue to be added over the next few months so do keep checking back.

Submissions

This year the Summit has launched a Call for Submissions inviting individuals, groups and organisations to submit their original contributions to the field of hepatitis. Submissions should have a broad public health focus and align with the Strategic Directions in the Global Health Sector Strategy on Viral Hepatitis 2016-2021.

Submissions close on 1 May 2017 at 23:00 (GMT).

Presenting authors of successful submissions will be funded to present their work at the event in November. For further information and to make a submission please visit: www.worldhepatitissummit.org/2017/submissions.

With very best wishes,

World Hepatitis Summit team
