Hi Betty and all,
Thanks for productive call. As promised, revised proposal – with some minor changes of language, as discussed, and updated agenda.
Please review and let me know if there are any other changes you’d like to make – and we can do this right away tomorrow.
I will get back to you tomorrow re suggested funding options to speed this up, and address any compliance issues.
Best regards,
Barbara

Hi Barbara,
Would it be possible to have a teleconference call tomorrow at 9 am PST, which will be 6 pm your time in Geneva? If this time is too late, I can also arrange to speak at 11 pm tonight, 8 am tomorrow
your time.
It would be productive to review the proposal and discuss internal logistics needed to turn this around quickly.
Thanks so much.

Clifford –
FYI, this is timely, in case you have not seen it.

Clifford -
For your consideration and feedback, here is revised proposal with proposed two focused intimate meetings at MOH/deputy level.
Details with objectives, format and suggested participants are included (highlighted in
green).
Important would be to get to an agreement on action plan after the meeting.
In short -- to maximize the opportunity, I suggest:
·
the first meeting focused on Nigeria MOH, with India or another high profile country (and other very select individuals to leverage and get high level MOH participation - WHO Hep lead, GFATM and UNITAID, World
Hep Alliance and Gilead with Abbott), in English. Here ideally we should consider focusing on states that have interest and good leadership, we can advise.
·
the second one, with MOH Gabon, Cameroon, leveraged with France and AFD - along with others (as above), preferably in French re Gabon.
These two would be ideally organized as dinner meetings either on Sun, Mon or Tue 6:30 pm - 8:00pm (note that WHO Executive Director elections are scheduled for Tuesday, so Tuesday would be the best time for us – if
possible), we would need to play around depending on Ministers availability/ arrival/departures.
Feel free to call me when you can - or lets plan to speak on Monday. We would need to make a decision on Monday or at the latest on Tuesday to make this happen.
Thank you, and wish you a nice weekend.
Barbara

Barbara - one or two smaller, intimate meetings would be good - this way we can really get to the nuts and bolts of the Viral Hepatitis situation in country and what's possible given that new DAAs have altered the
landscape considerably.
