Dear Josif,

Concerning genetic testing for inherited breast cancer:

Molecular testing approaches can include (1) a BRCA1 and BRCA2 gene

panel and additionally (2) multi-gene panel:

(1) BRCA1 and BRCA2 gene panel. Sequence analysis of BRCA1 and BRCA2

is performed concurrently with deletion/duplication analysis.

Costs:€1.800 The majority of of confirmed family cases are detected

wit this test.

(2)multi-gene panel: if step 1 is negative, testing of further 15

genes may be considered to identify rare family cases. Costs: €1.700
