Friday, 21 April 2017 during the EASL General Assembly at The International Liver Congress^TM, Prof. Laurent Castera stepped down from his position as EASL Secretary General at the end of his 2-year term to warmly welcome the new EASL leadership.

The General Assembly also elected a new EASL Scientific Committee member, Prof. Markus Cornberg.
