Subject: IMPORTANT: IMF request for your consent to publish the Staff Report and related documents

Dear Koba, Niko, and Giorgi,

I hope this email finds you well.

I would like to request your consent for the publication of the Staff Report, LOI and MEFP and SIPs (see attached). The publication would occur after the effective approval of the document by the Executive Board of the IMF.

You may also wish to send comments on the report. Before you do, let me remind you of the rules for correction and deletion under the IMF’s Transparency Policy.

Corrections can be made to the report only to ensure factual accuracy, and are limited to correcting:

Ø  typographical errors;

Ø  factual errors;

Ø  mischaracterization of the authorities’ views; or

Ø  evident ambiguity, i.e. the possibility of a plausible, specific misinterpretation.

Requests for corrections to documents are expected to be submitted no later than two business days before the Board date (cob Monday June 25th). Corrections after the Board are possible but follow stricter rules.

Deletions are made to the version of the report that will be published. Deletions shall be requested in writing and are expected to be communicated to the Fund no later than two business days before the Executive Board date (cob Monday June 25th). Deletions should be limited to information that is not already in the public domain that constitutes either (i) highly market-sensitive material; or (ii) premature disclosure of policy intentions.

                Many thanks in advance,

Francois
