Dear Colleagues,
The Administration of the Government of Georgia and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), request the pleasure of your participation in a key stakeholders meeting
on the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS). The survey is one of the largest international household studies in the world, providing estimates of over 180 indicators, including half of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG)
indicators that are collected at household level.
The MICS is going to be the first survey conducted in Georgia which collects multidimensional data on health, education, environment, gender, disability and other topics, and is representative
at the regional level and for the IDPs. The Survey results will be further disaggregated by age, gender, ethnicity, urban/rural and other covariates. The data generated will provide a strong evidence base for regional planning, and policy making in various
sectors. Moreover, the MICS in Georgia has an important environment component, including household energy use, water quality testing, and lead prevalence among children.
The stakeholders meeting will take place in the conference hall of the
Administration of the Government of Georgia, 7
Ingorokva Street, on Thursday, March 22nd, 16:00 - 17:30. The goal of the meeting is to familiarize the stakeholders with MICS and its significance to inform future policies in Georgia as well as to explore potential
support and partnership opportunities.
Please kindly confirm your attendance to: Ms. Eter Kirtskhalia at
ekirtskhalia@unicef.org or 599 462230 by Monday, March 19th, close of business.
For further information on the survey, its modules and questionnaires, please refer to the MICS Brochure.
Yours sincerely,
