Today marks the beginning of a new journey towards the most cancer-ready city on earth: the City of Tomorrow. City Cancer Challenge opens a call for applications for new cities to join its network and tackle the global cancer burden.

Interested cities of over 1 million inhabitants must submit their expression of interest (EoI) before the deadline of December 1st, 2020. Following an assessment of all EoIs, a set of shortlisted cities will be invited to submit a full application for review.

The successful candidates will join the 9 cities in which C/Can is currently identifying gaps and developing sustainable, community-led cancer care solutions to ensure no one is left behind in accessing the diagnosis, treatment and care they need.

Cities have shown they are hubs for entrepreneurship,able to mobilise to confront serious health threats. By leveraging your city's innovation and leadership, C/Can can support the development of new ways of working that will drive change in cancer care.
