Dear colleagues,
 
We are pleased to invite you to the 27th European Social Services Conference (ESSC) that will take place at the Milan Marriott Hotel from 5 – 7 June 2019 in Italy.

Organised by the European Social Network (ESN) in cooperation with the Lombardy Region, the European Social Services Conference brings together all those with an interest and expertise in social welfare to exchange knowledge on contemporary social policy and practice.
The conference will explore
“Striving for Quality: from Quality of Care to Quality of Life”.
As the European Union promotes a European Pillar of Social Rights, ESN has been emphasising the duty of care of social services in public authorities across Europe. With social services’ duty of care comes the need to guarantee and improve quality.

The concept of quality varies from country to country and is becoming increasingly fluid due to trends such as personalisation, people’s empowerment, assessment and evaluation, or innovation and evidence-based frameworks.

The conference aims to discuss the implementation of these trends and what they mean for social services in practice to advance care in the community and progress towards person-led care.

Lead platform for knowledge exchange
The ESSC 2019 will address the needs and issues faced by senior social welfare practitioners in their daily work through a series of innovative approaches and sessions.

The ESSC 2019 has been designed to be the educational and inspirational place where you will be able to exchange and share information, ideas, knowledge and experiences with colleagues with an interest and expertise in social welfare across Europe and beyond.

Participants will gain the tools and the knowledge they need to strengthen their organisation overall objectives and strategies. You will engage in an interactive discussion on the application of the conference themes and what this means for your daily work.
