The European Social Network (ESN), the independent network for public social services in Europe, has two open calls for experts to provide support for our 2018 work on the European Semester and seminar on Inclusive Activation.

ESN is looking for an expert to support its work on how social services can support people furthest from the labour market to find and retain jobs through empowerment and autonomy.

The project will include a research review, questionnaire distribution, and a seminar with focus groups. The aim of the work is to produce a toolkit, which will look specifically at how local social services in cooperation with others can best support people furthest from the labour market, which will be published at the beginning of 2019.

ESN is seeking an external expert to support the work of its Reference Group on the Semester, which is made up of directors of social services across Europe. You can find out about the work of the Reference Group by visiting the dedicated webpage.

The role of the external expert is primarily to produce cross-country analysis based on the input of the Reference Group members, and present this during the Reference Group's annual meeting, which this year will take place on 28-29 June in Brussels.
