Dear Sopo, dear Prof. Amiran,

As a follow up of the yesterday communication, please find attached additional information regarding the Aids conference 2018 and the 'Ministerial policy dialogue on HIV and related comorbidities in eastern Europe and central Asia' Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre, Amsterdam, next Monday (23 July 2018).

As already explained in my last email, there is no need for any further changes in the well prepared speech of the minister. The minister will have 5 minutes to share all messages about achievements in Georgia that he finds important. The moderator will most probably ask him how this was done. If you wish, you may indicate if the minister would like to narrow this question to one particular issue, that he prefers most.

Please, be informed that the organizers will secure transfer from Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre (Ministerial policy dialogue on HIV and related comorbidities in eastern Europe and central Asia) to the RAI conference center (Hall 10: Eliminating HIV and viral hepatitis epidemics on the road to universal health coverage). We will share the details as soon as available; otherwise the information will be provided on the spot as there will be several participants hurrying from one to the other event, and should be in the meeting room at least 15 minutes before the session starts.

Further on, please, find a word document presenting the script of the WHO satellite symposium: Eliminating HIV and viral hepatitis epidemics on the road to universal health coverage (RAI conference centre; Hall 10 (750 seats); Monday 23 July 2018, 17:00-19:00).

The programme of this event is also available on the AIDS2018 interactive website: http://programme.aids2018.org/Search/Search?search=MOSA49   This script provides a sense of how the session will run, including order of speakers, times and session titles. The script also includes suggestions of issues that might be covered under each presentation. Of course the minister is free to develop his own messages, but the suggested bullet points may help to focus each presentation so as to produce an overall coherent programme. Note that all speakers have been allocated a maximum of 10 minutes speaking time. Shorter interventions would be welcome to ensure there is enough time at the end of the session for a panel discussion and some questions from the audience. All speakers will be invited to participate in the panel discussion (although Ren Minghui will replace Tedros Ghebreyesus towards the end of the session). This 35 minute panel discussion will be moderated by James Chau. He will ask panellists questions guided by presentations made earlier in the session.

Please provide us with any questions that you believe would be useful to be posed to the panel as a whole or to individual panel members (perhaps the minister would like to receive a particular question that would enable him to explain even better what has been done in Georgia).

As per previous communication the minister can use slides. Just now we have got the information that oral presentation without slides is preferred, however both options are possible and it is on the minister to decide if he will use slides or no. If slides will be used, than send them to us, or directly to our colleague Andrew Lee Ball (balla@who.int) and the facilitator James Chau (jameschau@cantab.net) in advance.

We assume that the minister and Prof. Amiran will be awaited by the Georgian embassy at the time of arrival to the airport, but we would like this to be confirmed. Please, let us know.

Thank you and best regards,
