Subject: Georgia - JCB membership selection and the Regional Committee agendas
Dear Sopo,
We have been informed by our Regional Office that the Regional Committee selected Georgia for membership of the Joint Coordinating Board of the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases, for a four-year period from 1 January 2019.
We were also informed that Dr Paata Imnadze will represent Georgia at the meetings of the programme.
Everything seems to be well under control, at the same time our headquarter would like to receive the official letter (sample is attached), indicating that Georgia nominates Dr Imnadze as the representative and requests to provide financial support for his participation at the JCB meetings. This can be done either by the ministry or by the Permanent mission in Geneva.
The letter can be sent by email to me, so I can also share it with our regional office.
Once we receive the letter, WHO headquarter will be dealing with his travel and visa arrangements.
Thank you and best regards,
Marijan Ivanusa
