With this mail, we send you the following message on behalf of the Vice Chair of Executive Board (EB) concerning the handling of EB144 agenda item 7.8. Friday morning at 9:00 a.m.

The Vice Chair wishes to underline that this choreography is the result of a delicate political understanding between the concerned parties and the Member States are asked to respect this outcome. There is an expectation that no explanations of vote or comments be made by others.

Item 7.8   Future Meetings of the governing bodies

Under this item, the Board will consider the provisional agenda of the Seventy-second World Health Assembly, contained in Document EB144/41 REV.1, starting at 9 a.m.

A letter from the Mission of Israel in relation to this item was circulated to all delegations on Tuesday, 29 January 2019.  It is attached hereto.

Following informal consultations by the Chair with the three directly concerned parties, the Chair will propose to the Board to consider this matter through an arrangement which includes the following elements:

- only the three directly-concerned parties take the floor;

- immediately afterward, the Board Members vote by roll-call vote on an amendment to the provisional agenda of the Health Assembly that corresponds with the attached letter;

- following the vote, the Board proceeds directly to consideration of the next matter under this agenda item.
