Dear Sopo, dear Prof. Amiran,
Attached please find the draft programmes of the:
- WHO Ministerial policy dialogue on HIV and related comorbidities in eastern Europe and central Asia, Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre, 23 July 2018;
- WHO Satellite Session: Eliminating HIV and viral hepatitis epidemics on the road to universal health coverage; venue to be defined; Monday, 23 July 2018; 17:00-19:00
The minister has active role at both events and the transfer will be organized to enable timely arrival to the second event.
The first event is hosted by Dr Zsuzsanna Jakab, Regional Director; and the second one by Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General
We would highly appreciate if we could receive draft speech that the minister will give during the session “WHO Ministerial policy dialogue on HIV and related comorbidities in eastern Europe and central Asia”. In total he will have 2-5 minutes for his intervention. He can focus on Georgian best practices, but he can also go beyond that. The speech should be half page – one page long.
If needed our colleagues at the regional office can assist with further inputs once they receive the draft.
It would be great to receive the draft as soon as possible.
At this stage we have no further details for the event hosted by Director General.
Please, be also informed that the organizers will register the minister for the conference, while Prof. Amiran needs to register himself. I think that at this stage it is only possible to register on site, once you are in Amsterdam and you can opt for a daily pass (http://www.aids2018.org/). The registration fee depends on the development of the country (i.e. lower-middle income country).
Unfortunately the country office cannot help with the process of registration.
Thank you and best regards,
Marijan Ivanusa
