On behalf of the City Cancer Challenge team, I would like to share with you the following updates regarding the initiative and our engagement with the City of Tbilisi.

1)      We have circulated an advertisement for the role of City Cancer Challenge Manager for Tbilisi.  This individual, to be based in Tbilisi, would be employed by UICC to support City Cancer Challenge activity in Tbilisi, be a point of contact for the Ministry, City of Tbilisi and other key stakeholders and act as a liaison with the global City Cancer Challenge team in Geneva.   Please find a link to the Terms of reference for this role: https://www.uicc.org/ccan-2025-city-manager-tbilisi-1. We would be very grateful if your teams could also help us to circulate this within your networks, and share with any suitable candidates you may be aware of.

2)      Based on our experience in the cities in which we are already working, we have developed a draft Memorandum of Understanding for your review and input to help define the roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders and provide a clear framework for collaboration in Tbilisi. We would be very grateful if you could kindly review and let us know if you have any initial comments.

3)      We would also like to propose that in order to further discuss the MoU, and discuss next steps, we organise a meeting towards the end of November, together with the City Cancer Challenge Director, Dr Susan Henshall.  Looking at schedules we could be available to travel to Tbilisi the week of 26^th November, and would also use the opportunity to meet with potential candidates for the City Manager role. Would you both be available during this week (on Tuesday 27 or Weds 28 November) for a brief meeting with us?
