Georgia is committed to move towards progressive universalism, learn from a global knowledge and determined to build on recent successes.
Georgia has been an active partner of the global health community in promoting health systems strengthening to achieve universal health coverage since 2013. By implementing Universal Health Care program, access to health care services and financial protection of the population has been significantly improved. Despite notable progress, important challenges need to be overcome to further scale up and sustain an effective response to the NCDs.

Dear Ms.Tchelidze,
Following your interest to join UHC2030, we are pleased to invite you to consider joining a ceremonial signing session with countries and agencies who will endorse the UHC2030 Global Compact for progress towards UHC. It will take place on Wednesday, 26 September 2018, either 18:00 – 18:30 or 19:30-20:00at the South Dining Room of the United Nations Headquarters (4F), before or after the main program of the high-level event on “UHC Leaves No One Behind: work together towards good health and well-being for all”, co-hosted by the Government of Thailand and Government of Japan and co-organized by other UHC2030 Partners.
Please find attached a flyer which provides more details regarding the main program of this event. We will share the official program of the ceremonial signing session soon.
Please note that as part of our UHC2030 membership regulations, we kindly would like to inform you that prior to your confirmation to join the ceremonial signing session; we would need a formal letter from you, endorsing the UHC2030 Global compact, addressed to Dr Naoko Yamamoto, Assistant Director-General for UHC and Health Systems, WHO, and to Dr Tim Evans, Senior Director of Health Nutrition and Population, the World Bank Group. Such a letter can be a communication from your Minister of Health along the following lines:
