Many thanks for your e-mail and intention to support NCDC with cybersecurity for its computer network.  Unfortunately I am traveling to Batumi tomorrow morning and will not be in town until Friday. I would suggest to engage Mr. Milkheil Janiashvili in this discussion. He is the head of the MoH’s information technology department and is in charge of cyber policy within the ministry and its subunits. Mr. Janiashvili is CC-ed on this e-mail.

Hi Dr. Gabunia,

 

My name is Thom Hyde, and I am a political officer at the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi where I cover cyber policy.  I am emailing regarding a potential cybersecurity activity that our colleagues at the Department of Defense (Mike Dunson, CCed) would be interest in providing for the National Center of Disease Control’s computer networks.  As I understand, NCDC falls under your purview as Deputy Minister of Health.  As such, we would be happy to meet with you and NCDC colleagues to provide further detail on the proposed activity.  We would be available to meet with you in the near future – we would be available tomorrow September 16 at 1430 or Thursday afternoon, whichever is most convenient for you.
