Dear Jan
Many thanks for your e-mail. I am very pleased to hear about this opportunity with MEDEVAC. I confirm that subject areas and partners are well selected. We would be more than happy to provide additional information and assist with planning as needed.
Glad to know that all three proposals were shortlisted.
With kind regards
Tamar

Subject: New CZ health care programme in Georgia
Dear
Tamar,
accept my congratulations to successful dealing with pandemic of C19. Georgian
response is impressive.
I would like to open more mainstream agenda on Healthcare with you. Let
me open with announcement that Georgia is new priority country for programme
MEDEVAC managed by the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic. Here
is brief information: https://www.mvcr.cz/mvcren/article/medevac-programme.aspx
I suppose Israel has something similar. Here in Georgia is relevant modality
expert training, we would add surgeries later.
The original plan was to arrange a fact finding mission in early May and
start activities in autumn. Due to C19 pandemic was this schedule changed.
In this year we are able to provide only mission and launch implementation
in early 2021.
I am in touch with the team of the programme in order to prepare fact finding
mission: mapping local partners, specification of territory and focus.
Well, we have some preliminary outline based on current focus, experience
and partnerships of the Czech Development Cooperation:
Subjects:
1. Oncogynecology + short trainings for PHC providers.
2. Physiotherapy (primarily post surgery care)
Teritorial focus:
Western Georgia (primarily Samegrelo, secondary Adjara)
Tbilisi (potential cooperation with TSMU)
Partners:
Rukhi hospital
TSMU
Zugdidi screening centre
Batumi hospital
In this stage, I would like ask you for comments/recommendations/additions
and consequent general approval of the above formulated outline. The MEDEVAC
team requires confirmation of subjects because of planning expert mission
in autumn. This is the most urgent issue. Anyway we can shape MEDEVAC program
performance in more relaxing times.
I am at your disposal for any means of consultation.
Kind regards,
Jan
PS: I had very good experience with Maia Nikoleishvili. All three proposals
on delivery of equipment are short-listed.
