Dear Irma , (David san ,Thank you for support) Thank you for reply. And sorry for reply delayed, my family died and I stopped my work these 2 days. We will report JICA the issues and needs. By the way,How are medical waste and animal waste managed and handled now? I read this report ↓ some industrial and general waste management started. http://open_jicareport.jica.go.jp/pdf/12260212.pdf Many waste is landfilled. Is it incinerated? Are there other donor support now? Medical waste management, it is also important from the viewpoint of infectious diseases. In Japan, there are manuals, operators are also registered and operated. The method of response varies depending on the type of waste , and not only hospitals but also nursing care facilities and waste by home medical care are specified. Measures to be taken when an accident occurs are also set up. Also there are penalty provisions. Animal waste management, System of utilization in agriculture field such as recycling type agriculture is being advanced. I think there is a problem of not only disporal of excreta and corpses , but also residues at the meat factory. Also, how to dispose of infectious diseases should also be subject to many problems.
