Dear Maia,
Thank you very much for your prompt reply and following up. We totally understand that the Minister needs to be present at the General Debate, thank you very much anyway for considering his participation as a panelist. Please note, that if members from the Georgian delegates would like to join the event as participants you are more than welcome to attend. I will forward you the invitation just in case. Thanks again and my kind regards, Julia

Dear Julia,

Thank you for your feedback.

Just recently, Georgian Mission to Geneva informed us that the Minister’s speech under the General Debate of WHA is supposed to be held on 21st of May at 18:00.

Therefore, unfortunately, at this stage we are not able to confirm Georgian delegation’s participation in the panel discussion on UHC.

Hope for you kind consideration.

Kind regards,

Maia

Dear Ms. Nikoleishvili,

Thank you very much for your email. We would be honored if the Minister Mr. David Sergeenko can participate in the panel discussion. For more information, please kindly find attached the enclosed latest draft concept note.

In the panel discussion, which will be chaired by Mr. Githinji Githahi CEO AMREF and UHC2030 co/chair, we have already been confirmed the following panelists :

-          Professor Isaac Adewole, Honorable Minister of Health, Federal Republic of Nigeria

-          Dr.Takao Toda, VP, Human Security and Global Health, JICA, Japan Confirmed

-          Ms Sonia Khayat, Director of the international cooperation at MOH Tunisia Confirmed

-          Victoria Tsotsoo Okine, Executive Director, Alliance for Reproductive Health Rights, Ghana

Following the multi stakeholder hearing in NY on the 29th of April and also the focus of this side event on the UHC HLM and given that Georgia is one of the co-facilitators we would really hope that the honorable Minister or another designated representative from Georgia can accept to participate in the panel.

If possible please I would kindly ask for a confirmation today. My apologies for this but we are really looking forward to finalize the program and send out the invitations.

In case there is any other information you might need, I am happy to also have a phone call.

Thank you very much.

Kind regards,

Julia
