Please find attached the answers to the Commission's questions on testing. Please kindly pay attention that the last question - number of tests conducted in last 2 weeks defines the time-frame from 3 Sep to 17 Sep. As agreed, we will provide the numbers reflecting the period to 21 Sept early next week.

Dear colleagues,
We are approaching you with our traditional request to update the COVID related data. Please note that this time the Commission services required more detailed data. We would be grateful lf you could provide answers on the questionnaire by the end of tomorrow.
Testing types
· What are the different types of tests used today (describe method)?
· Are there plans to introduce other types of testing?
Testing capacities
· How many tests can be conducted per day?
· How many laboatories can analyse samples in Georgia?
· What is the average waiting time to analyse a sample?
Testing frequency
· Are tests systematic upon entry into Georgia (all types of travellers / businessmen etc)
· Are tests systematic when case of symptoms
· Are tests systematic when contact with a person infected with Covid
· Are tests available on demand / privately
· Is there also systematic testing for some types of workers (which ones)?
· Is there also random testing / regional testing? Please describe in detail.
Actual testing statistics
· How many tests conducted since the beginning?
· How many tests conducted in the last 2 weeks, from 7 September to 21 September?
Please update:
6500 rooms in 84 hotels have been used to quarantine over 22.000 people. Around 3000 patients have made use of the fever clinics.
In total, 297 inpatient facilities operate across the country with 17,514 beds available of which 3,279 are reserved for Covid cases. 2,290 beds are available in intensive care units of which 1,040 are reserved for Covid cases. 1749 ventilators are available for the management of respiratory distress syndrome.
