Dear Maia,

We have groups of experts in Regional Office (WHO staff and consultants) who are doing trainings in different directions – Infection Prevention and Control, Laboratories, Case management, etc. to all countries in the region that express interest.

The training programmes cover almost all the topics.

It would be better to get clarifications on the needs from Georgia, so that we don’t go for a full training programme, but rather focus on the topics of stringent need here. We know that Georgian clinicians are rather advanced and they might not need basic training or any introductory sessions.

Can you ask them about the topic they would like to here for the first session? And after that, they can agree on next topics at the end of each training session.

Would that work?

Thank you,

Silviu

Dear Maia,

Hope you are fine and have a good start of the week.

Do you know anything about the below?

Our experts are available on Tuesday and Wednesday.

We have to give them an answer; otherwise we’ll have to wait for the next week.

Thanks a lot,

Silviu

Dear Tamar,

Following our recent discussions, we mobilized the WHO Euro experts on COVID-19  case management and they will be available to provide online courses to doctors treating COVID-19 patients in Georgia.

The closest days for this are Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

Could  you please let us know what would be the target audience for this and whom to contact for all the arrangements?

I also checked and we didn’t provide such trainings in Georgia recently, under the USAID supported project, except 2 sessions for Abkhazia (Gudauta hospital).

But I know our Regional Office organized a couple of  them in the past.

In any case, we are ready to start this and scale-up in the coming month, if needed.

Thank you and best regards,

Silviu
