Dear mrs./ms. Japaridze,
Please allow me to introduce myself to you. My name is Ron van der Veen and I act as a Supervisor Special Departures, mostly working with returnees from countries of the Former Soviet Union, for the Repatriation and Departure Service.
First of all I would like to inform you that, on behalf of the Repatriation and Departure Service, I’m preparing the return of two illegal Georgians,
currently in aliens detention, from the Netherlands to Tbilisi on 29-10-2020.
The envisaged returnees are;
1) Mr. TSKHADADZE, Revazi, born 13-10-1973 and
2) Mr. TEDIASHVILI, Soso, born on 18-5-1983.
For both persons we received, after identification by the Georgian authorities, formal ‘ok’s’ on our readmission requests.
Due to the current lack of possibilities for forced returns to Georgia via Amsterdam Airport I intend to participate in a joint Frontex charter. This charter flight, leaving from Düsseldorf on 29-10-2020, flight number TGZ A9 2780, will involve Georgian border guards who will escort Georgian returnees from several European countries back to Georgia. The countries involved are; Germany, Sweden, Italy and the Netherlands.
One of the returnees from the Netherlands, mr. TEDIASHVILI has such a medical background that the Netherlands Medical Advisory Board advised to arrange a medical transfer to a psychiatrical institute following his return to Georgia in order to allow medical evaluation and, if deemed necessary by the receiving doctor, continuation of treatment after return.
Usually arrangements of this nature involve accompanying the returnee by myself in order to participate in and witness the physical handover to a receiving doctor of both patient, his medical background (in writing) and medication if necessary upon arrival in Tbilisi. Due to the COVID-pandemic (I would have to go in quarantine upon arrival in Tbilisi since I will not be able to return to the Netherlands straight away) accompanying the returnee will not be possible. Besides that, as mentioned before, the return flight will be staffed by Georgian personnel and participation from my side, which is not usual under these circumstances, might, given proper arrangements and confirmation thereof prior to the departure of mr. TEDIASHVILI, not even be necessary.
Earlier today I have been trying to contact you on your cell phone, but did not succeed. Therefor I decided to turn to you via email in order to request your assistance making the kind of arrangements necessary for an adequate medical transfer of mr. TEDIASHVILI and thus allowing for continuation of his treatment following his departure from the Netherlands and his subsequent return to Georgia.
In order to inform you more adequately I have prepared a Georgian translation of the most relevant parts of the medical file, which has a strictly confidential nature, related to mr. TEDIASHVILI.
I would very much appreciate getting in touch with you concerning the TEDIASHVILI case and hope that you can be of assistance.
For now I would like to thank you for your kind attention and wish you a pleasant weekend.
Sincere regards,
Ron van der Veen
