Subject: Medical clarifications for Swiss Authorities
Ref. 131.40 / Mam
Dear Mrs. Nikoleishvili,
I refer to the meeting with our Ambassador of February 14, 2019, in which Mrs. Belkania kindly agreed to clarify and answer requests from the Swiss authorities in medically justified asylum cases from Georgian citizens. In this regard, I am forwarding you a request for information from the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) and would be grateful if you could answer the following questions of the SEM:
1. ls the above-mentioned medical treatment / follow-up available in Georgia? (mentioned in the attached request)
Name and location of facility/facilities: (it is essential to know the name of the establishment or establishments (public or private) where the care required by the person concerned can be dispensed):
2. ls the above-mentioned medication available in Georgia?
3. Are any alternatives to the above-mentioned medication available in Georgia?
4. lf the medication is not available in Georgia, is it possible to import it from abroad? lf so, who pays the costs for this medication? Are any alternatives to the needed medication available in Georgia?
5. Who provides the above-mentioned medical care in Georgia?
6. Is the health insurance taking charge of the costs for this treatment and medication?
I would like to thank you in advance for your precious assistance in this matter and am looking forward to receive your answer.
Kind regards
