This is just a short information that on-line applications for the WHO course on health financing are not possible anymore.

While there are many applications from other countries and the course is overbooked, we see health system financing as one of the key priorities for Georgia and consequently treat Georgia as a priority country.

For this reason we keep some places for possible additional participants until Tuesday morning.

In case there is any additional candidate, please, let me know all respective details by Monday, 5 June, end of the day.

Dear Mr Zaza Sopromadze, Deputy Minister,

Dear Mr Akaki Zoidze, Chair of the Committee on Health,

As you have been informed already, WHO regularly organizes Course on Health Financing for Universal Health Coverage. This time the course will be held from 24 to 28 July 2017 in Kyrgyzstan. A week-long intensive training program is offered by the WHO Barcelona Office for Health Systems Strengthening of the Division of Health Systems and Public Health, WHO Regional Office for Europe.

This particular course will be delivered in English with simultaneous translation into Russian.

WHO covers all local costs.

We kindly encourage you to nominate several Georgian experts to attend the course, as we assume that this could contribute to increased national capacity in the area of health system financing (let it be from the Ministry, SSA, NCDC or other institutions in Georgia), that could finally help the ministry and the SSA in performing work in the important area of health system financing.

Unfortunately the time is running out as applications can only be sent until this Thursday.

We will do our best that good experts from Georgia that will apply for the course will also be accepted for the course. Additionally we may even consider to cover the travel costs (flight tickets, as local costs are covered already). Final decision on covering the costs of travel depends on the structure of the team applying for the course and impact that it could have on the overall institutional capacity in Georgia.

You may also consider to propose someone from the Ministry of Finance or other national institutions you find appropriate having in mind the important work you are doing.
