Dear Mariana,
As we agreed in the beginning of this week, we get back to you with some documents which we discussed during the mission and which now need the revision by DRG
WG.
This concerns the documents we have dealt earlier but as there have been some changes recently in the management of SSA and MOLHSA. In addition, in some areas
(e.g. DRGs related performance monitor indicators) we have taken steps forward. Hence, it is important to keep the documents up-to-date and revise them accordingly or develop new ones.
I have attached five documents to this email.
All Word files have a blue box with guidance in the beginning of the document which we would like you to follow and revise the documents accordingly.
The Excel file with DRG implementation and transition strategy should be revised taking into account the changes in top management. The need of revision is indicated
in Column K.
The documents for your revision and feedback are as follows:
1)
Communication plan for DRG implementation (deadline for returning the document to us is
15 of June)
2)
DRG background note and FAQ (deadline
15 of June)
3)
ToRs of DRG WG (deadline
15 of June)
4)
DRG implementation and transition strategy (deadline
15 of June)
5)
Templates of performance monitoring indicators (deadline
end of May)
In addition, there is time to start to prepare
DRG feedback report for providers. This concerns the DRGs related performance monitoring indicators and will be the first concrete step to involve the pilot hospitals.
The report should provide general information about DRGs, aim of performance monitoring and some selected indicators concerning DRGs and coding. The number of indicators should be
limited to few only, to make it easier for providers to receive this information as it is all new for them.
We leave it open how this report should look like, in terms of more concrete content as well as of format. However, we are ready to assist you and provide some more guidance as soon
as you feel you need it. The due date for the first draft would be 15 of June.
Next important date is end of May (+ appr one week) when the Georgian definition tables for producing the grouper should be ready and delivered.
This is briefly all. We well be in contact via email and Skype if needed.
Thanks,
Kristiina
