Dear Sopo,

KPMG is currently working to deliver the “Promoting Smart Systems in ADB’s Future Cities Program” requested by ADB. Our aim is to meet different local organizations, in order to get a deep understanding of current situation in the City.

For this reason, we would like to meet either the Minister or anyone the Minister would recommend.

Here is also short description of the project:

KPMG is working with the ADB to deliver the “Promoting Smart Systems in ADB’s Future Cities Program”. The Program is providing a pipeline of smart systems solutions in five Asia-Pacific cities: Tbilisi, Georgia; Suva, Fiji; Bandung, Indonesia; Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia; and Mandalay, Myanmar.  Smart systems refer to smart technologies, infrastructure systems, utilities, and intelligent approaches to providing infrastructure and other social services. The integration of multiple smart systems solutions with city assets has great potential for citizens to improve their quality of life and to lead safer, healthier, and more educated lives.  For this project KPMG will identify five smart solutions in each city to improve the living standards of residents, with a specific focus on supporting the urban poor and women.

Phase 1 (February-May 2017) will focus on ensuring cities are engaged in understanding, identifying, and sharing best practice pathways toward smart infrastructure to become more liveable cities, with an emphasis on pro-poor initiatives. This will be achieved by identifying, establishing and supporting smart city user groups and innovation centres where needed; and developing diagnostics and management improvement plans for each of the five cities. The initiatives will be established in a way that would make them self-sustaining beyond the project life.  Phase 2 (from June 2017) will deliver in-depth feasibility studies on three of the identified smart city initiatives for potential financing and technical support by the ADB and/or other partners.

Please take into consideration that the meeting should be attended by representatives of KPMG Singapore and held in a March 20-24 week.

Please, advise who can meet us and we will send the meeting request to that person.

In case of any additional information, please contact me without any hesitation.

Best regards,

Ana
