My name is Maria and I am the ILO Argentina focal point for all matters related to the organization of the IV Conference for the Sustained Eradication of Child Labour.

Please find attached a note that was recently published by the Government of Argentina (hence my delayed response, my apologies!) regarding the Conference logistics, including deadlines and financial support. The information will be regularly updated in the Conference´s website, www.childlabour2017.org.

From your email, I understand that the Minister or Labour is considering the possibility of attending the Conference, is this correct? Kindly confirm so that I can inform the Argentinean authorities.

Let me take this opportunity to also provide some specific information in relation to the participation of Georgia:

-          There is no Embassy of Argentina in Georgia.

-          The invitation to the Government of Georgia has been sent by the Government of Argentina through their Embassy in Ankara. Attached please find the generic letter of invitation that should have arrived from the Argentinean Embassy in Ankara to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Georgia.

-          The invitations to employers and workers will be coming out within the next couple of weeks. Kindly note that the following organizations have been nominated to participate:

o   Workers: Georgian Trade Union Confederation

o   Employers: Georgian Employers Association

-          Georgian nationals do not need a visa to enter Argentina. If you have any questions regarding the documentation required to enter Argentina, we encourage participants to contact the Argentinean Embassy in Ankara. -          Information on financial assistance is available in the attached information note.

I’m contacting you from the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, regarding the, IV Global Conference on the Sustained Eradication of Child Labour, which will take place in Buenos Aires on 14-16 November 2017, In order to proceed with the Ministers invitation, we need more information about the financial details,  whether the participation of the minister could be financially supported.  

 

Also would you be so kind to help us with the registration details, is there any deadline that we have to take into consideration ?
