Dear Ms Mkurnali,

Thank you very much for your email regarding the IV Global Conference on Sustained Eradication of Child Labour.

We offer our apologies for the delay in answering your email due to unavoidable technical problems beyond our control.

The Argentine Government, addressing the concerns of the ILO constituents and aiming at guaranteeing as broad and equitable a representation as possible among the UN member States in the Conference, is implementing a partial financial assistance program so that no delegation is prevented from participating therein by reason of financial impediments linked to their stay in Buenos Aires.

To that purpose the different delegations are offered the possibility to request accommodation for up to one (1) delegate per constituent, which shall be provided by the Argentine State and consist of a hotel room for single occupancy, breakfast included, with check-in date 13th November and check-out date 17th November.

Those requesting this benefit shall also be granted the following amenities:

.

Transfer from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the airport on the dates of arrival in and departure from the country, respectively.

Transfer to and from the location where the Conference is to be held.

The amenities shall reach the delegates (governmental, workers’ and/or ‘employers) from the countries that have applied for the assistance of the Argentine State, with a ceiling of one (1) delegate per sector.

In order to smooth the registration proceedings and in view of the delays in the delivery of the invitations to the nominated Workers’ and Employers’ organizations, we have decided to amend the deadline at which the participating States may officially confirm their delegations. Such confirmation should consequently take place by 8th September, 2017, on which date the States would be entitled to accredit more than one (1) representative per constituent group (i.e. more than one delegate from the government, more than one delegate representing the employers and more than one delegate on behalf of the workers).

Any further amendment to the accreditation conditions will be informed through the IV Global Conference on the Sustained Eradication of Child Labour www.childlabour2017.org/en.

The governments participating at the Conference must send an official note through the corresponding diplomatic channels, or through their Ministries of Foreign Affairs or Embassies accredited in Buenos Aires, indicating the name of the “Head of delegation” and the composition of the rest of the national delegation. It is noteworthy that the Workers’ and Employers’ Groups must be accredited as part of the official delegations.

This note must include the contact details that would allow the Argentine Government to send the information necessary to proceed to the electronic accreditation of the Delegations.

We are looking forward to your participation in the Conference.

Kind regards,
