I have the pleasure to inform you that the WHO Regional Office for Europe, with the support of the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies, is convening a high-level meeting entitled “Health systems for prosperity and solidarity: leaving no one behind”.

The meeting will be kindly hosted by the Ministry of Social Affairs of Estonia and will take place in Tallinn on 13–14 June 2018 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the Tallinn Charter: Health Systems for Health and Wealth.

The objectives of this high-level event are to celebrate the achievements of the Tallinn Charter on its 10th anniversary; to share good practices and progress in health systems strengthening in the WHO European Region; and to inspire innovative directions for health systems in the Region.

The high-level meeting will focus on the following three main themes (the three ‘’I’’s), each of which carries its own key message.

Kindly mark this important event on your calendar. A formal request for nominations of Member State representatives will be sent in December 2017.
