Subject: Importing Medicines for Personal Use Dear Sir/Madam, First of all, let us express our gratitude for the medical treatment provided by your team to our citizen Sopiko Babilodze and for supporting her family. Certain medications could not be registered in Georgia but Georgian Pharmaceutical network is allowed to bring in the necessary medication for the citizen and give it out to the patient. According to existing rules, if the medicines is prescribed by the authorized prescriber, and the amount of medicine imported exceeds 10 commercial packages, appropriate application should be submitted together with the medical documents (Form # 100, brief medical report) to LEPL State Regulation Agency for Medical Activities (address: 144 Tsereteli Ave, postal code: 0159, e-mail: regagency@moh.gov.ge), which will issue import permission letter for unauthorized not registered medical product to be imported for personal use. If the amount of imported medicine is less than 10 commercial packages, there is no need of importing permission letter if at customs signed declaration contains appropriate information about intended use of the product (personal use). Such medical products, intended for personal use, could be imported by natural persons or legal entities authorized to import medicinal products.
