Dear Ms Mkurnali,

I have now received some additional information from Stockholm. One invitation to the Social Summit for Georgia went to the Minister of Interior based on the fact that Georgia is a member of WePROTECT Global Alliance. The second invitation was sent to the Minister of Foreign Affairs based on the fact that Georgia is a so called path finding country within the Global Partnership against violence against children, but yet has to decide who within the government should be responsible for this work.

The Save-the-date that was sent out by the Embassy was addressed to the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia based on assumption that he may be the natural focal point for this task, however this depends on the decision of the Georgian government as mentioned above.

Concerning the question of financial support this has still to be decided. Please feel free to contact  Sophie Svensson with any questions related to the summit:
