Dear Nino,
Ribbon cutting , to open a USG-funded, newly renovated health clinic in
Karaleti village will start at 11.00 am on April 2, 2014 It is marking
the completion of Humanitarian Assistance Project Karaleti Health Clinic.
This is a renovated health care clinic that was bombed during the August
2008 Georgia/Russia Conflict in Karaleti Village, 23km form the South
Ossetian conflict zone.The cost of the renovation was $250,700 with an
additional $14,425 of EUCOM (US European Command) excess property
(furniture and equipment) donated as well. Operation Hope provided
approximately $20K of donated medical equipment (dentist equipment
mostly).
The project was done in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy, EUCOM's (US
EUROPEAN COMMAND) Tbilisi Office of Defense Cooperation and US Army
Corp
of Engineers.
