Subject: Call for Proposals: 3rd Annual UHC Financing Forum (Washington DC, April 19-20, 2018)

Dear colleague,

You are receiving this email based on your interest or participation in the 2016 or 2017 Annual UHC Financing Forum, co-hosted by the World Bank Group and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

We are pleased to announce the Third Annual UHC Financing Forum: Greater Equity for Better Health and Financial Protection, taking place April 19-20 in Washington DC, and to invite you to submit your idea for a breakout session. You can find attached additional information about the Forum concept, guidelines for developing a session and a template for proposals. The deadline for submitting a completed proposal template is January 12, 2018.

The focus of the 2018 Forum is on integrating principles of fairness in health financing to enhance equitable health outcomes outlined by the principles of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). As was the case previously, the agenda will include a mix of plenary and breakout sessions with expected attendance of 400 experts on public and health finance and service delivery, including representatives from ministries of finance and health from low- and middle-income countries, and staff from bi- and multi-lateral institutions, civil society organizations, think tanks and academia. Session organizers are encouraged to emphasize issues that are controversial, new/innovative, high-impact, and/or in need of clarity.

On behalf of the co-hosts, we look forward to hearing from you. Please direct any questions about the Call for Proposals, or Forum more generally, to uhcfinancingforum@worldbank.org.

Best regards,

The Forum Organizers
