Dear Sopo,
This is a follow-up of our yesterday’s discussion.
As Georgia is a member of the EB until 2020, it could be better to appoint an alternate member of the EB in case the Minister is not available for a session. The alternate has same rights than the member, for example voting etc. what an advisor doesn`t have. The appointment of an alternate can be done by a formal letter addressed to DG and the Chair of the EB. The letter shall be signed by the Minister and can be delivered to WHO by the Georgian Permanent Mission in Geneva.
The WHO Regional Office or Country Office are not involved in the process, but you can still copy our office, so we are informed.
Best regards,
Marijan Ivanusa
