Subject: GEO_WHO QualityRights assessment findings
Dear Marijan and Keti,
It is our pleasure to share with you the summary report of findings from institutional assessments carried out in Georgia as part of Phase 2 of the
WHO Project on adults with mental disabilities living in institutions.
As agreed at the outset of the project, the enclosed national report is confidential
and is being shared only with the relevant ministries in participating countries. In your respective capacities as Head of WHO Country Office and Focal Point for this WHO project, we kindly ask you to inform the Minister of the assessment findings and the
importance of continued efforts in this area of work. We are staying at your disposal to provide further technical advice and assistance.
The overall findings from nearly a hundred institutional assessments across 25 countries of the European Region will be compiled and published in an anonymized Regional Report in the second quarter of 2018. This report will depict current
conditions of human rights and quality of care in the assessed facilities and address the key areas where improvements are necessary.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you, once again, for your great support and collaboration on this project.
With all best wishes,
Dan and Melita
