Sorry for the confusion. Actually there are two different visits. He will be in Tbilisi this week and would wish to meet with Minister of Health under his role as Advisor to the Joint UN Programme on HIV/AIDS.

This letter that you fowarded is about a different visit, this time with the Global Commission on Drugs and which I am not coordinating, although I am aware of.

For this week, he will be in Tbilisi and would aim for a meeting with Minister of Health on Friday June 1st preferably, or otherwise on Thursday 31 afternoon.

I hope this clarifies, and sorry once again for this little confusion

Dear Ekaterine,

We would like to kindly ask for the support of the Permanent Mission to organise a meeting with Minister David Sergeenko. Prof Kazatchkine will be in Tbilissi between 31st May-June 1st and would like to meet with the Minister during this occasion.

Prof Kazatchkine would wish to inform about his work in the region and discuss Georgia’s current efforts and remaining challenges in the HIV and TB responses.

We truly hope that this meeting can take place, preferably on June 1st if possible.

With my best regards,

Isabela
