Dear EB members,

 

In preparation to the upcoming EB143 session and in order to increase the transparency and inclusiveness of the nomination process, the Secretariat would like to raise your attention to document EB143/9 Committees of the Executive Board: filling of vacancies.

 

If you are interested to any of these committees, please send an expression of interest message to the Regional Governance Unit (eugovernance@who.int) by Friday, 18 May 12:00. Following that deadline the Secretariat will inform the SCRC, which will further discuss the nominations at its meeting on Saturday, 19 May.

 

The following elective posts are available for the European Region:

-              one vacancy to fill in the PBAC  

-              nomination of a Vice-Chair of the EB (who will be a member of the EB Bureau)

 

According to the issued document there are vacancies in award panels as well:

-              State of Kuwait – His Highness Skeikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Prize for Research in Health Care for the Elderly and in Health Promotion

-              Dr LEE Jong-wook Memorial Prize for Public Health
