Attached is draft proposal for the training in the area of Pharmacovigilance, which was discussed during the mission on vaccine-preventable infections, but this is rather more generic technical area that is important for all pharmaceuticals and beyond.

Dates proposed: from 21 to 24 August 2018.

                -Workshop1: High level workshop: 21 August with Ministry of Health in Georgia/  NRA/ Hospital heads or drug committee heads for example (??)

                -Workshop 2:    - 22, 23 and 24 August. Capacity building for health-care professionals and National PV centre

                                                -Maximum 50 participants (Pharmacists, doctors, nurses…from Primary health care, hospitals etc)/ Public and private sector??

The modules will be presented in English. Simultaneous translation can be provided if needed.

We kindly ask you for your reflections about the draft proposal, incl. the content, number of participants and the dates.

The proposal was drafted by our colleagues in the regional office and headquarters. In the country office we have some concerns having in mind the current level of pharmacovigilance in Georgia which is also reflected in very limited number of staff dealing with pharmacovigilance.

In any case we fully support the activity, but need your guidance on details as indicated above.
