By this email I can confirm that the mission on GMP can take place on 19 – 23 March 2018.

 

The following experts will come to Georgia:

 

The proposed experts are:

Oleksii Soloviov, former head of State Administration of Ukraine on Medical Products

Roman Gurzhii, inspector on GMP/GDP and MD inspections, Ukraine

Mkrtich Shakaryan, Current Head of GMP/GDP inspection in Armenia

Olexandr Polishchuk, WHO

 

As indicated earlier the costs of this mission will be covered by WHO.

We also have positive expectations for future work to be funded by WHO, but will only be able to confirm that in the following weeks.

 

From our perspective it would be best if the inspectorate team is formed based on some current and some new staff, as existing staff can bring to the team their knowledge about the system within the ministry, which is also important for continuity of work and collaboration with other units within the ministry.

I have read Sofo's confirmation and I have to kindly ask you, if it is possible, I prefer 19-23 of March, because I already have scheduled the business trip in Vienna in 12-16 of March. The both issues are very important for me and my department.

The costs of March mission can be covered from the BCA workplan.

 

At this stage we have no information on possible funding for other activities listed in the draft strategy sent to you earlier this year. Yesterday I have met Dr Hans Kluge, director, who works hard with his team to secure additional funding for Georgia. We will only know the result in late February or early March.

 

We are waiting for your confirmation of the mission in March.
