Dear Sir or Madam,

In preparation to the 68th session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe (Rome, Italy, 17-20 September 2018), the Secretariat would like to inform you about the following:

The RC68 session will take place in the conference venue called Auditorium della Teknica, which is in the EUR district, south of the city center of Rome. The Secretariat has identified two hotels in the close vicinity of the venue and negotiated a preferential price for the delegations participating at the RC68 session. A shuttle service between the airport and these hotels has been organized during the RC68 period. We will not be able to facilitate the transportation into hotels not on the list.

However, as you know, mid-September is still a high touristic season in Rome. For this reason the deadline for hotel reservation is much earlier than in other years: deadline for reservation is 31 May 2018. Following the deadline we cannot guarantee the prices offered or the availability of the rooms.

The Secretariat understands that at this point of time you may not have yet the composition of your delegation participating at RC68 session. For this reason, any advance information about the expected size of the delegation and about the hotel preference would help us to estimate the number of rooms you will most likely need. Any advance information would be highly appreciated by 10 May 2018, please, by sending details to Regional Governance Unit by email to eugovernance@who.int

A scheduled shuttle bus from/to the city center is available daily.
