Subject: UHCP Action plan

Dear Sopo,

The UHC Programme action plan for 2018 has been discussed during the mission in December 2017 (Sarah, Triin), but I can’t remember it was shared with the ministry.

In principle the UHCP Action Plan is broad and generic, which gives us some flexibility to adapt the work to the changing environment. There is nothing new in the attached document, and the work shall continue in the known directions.

For us the document is important as we share it with the EU-LUX-WHO Partnership in UHC; the donor(s) needs to agree with it if we want to get the resources.

This morning I will share it with the EU Delegation to Georgia with the request for their support. I will add you among the recipients of the email.

During the mission in February 2018 Triin also raised the issue of the patients’ pathways and the work that was initiated by Alexandre Lourenco last year. The work will continue, but we need an engagement of the national expert(s). Triin raised the issue with you and Mariana. Attached you can find summary of the next steps in the area of pathways.

We also have an intensive discussion internally (WHO) and there may be even further need to change some deadlines. Attached you can find Terms of Reference for a Georgian consultant to assist with the work.

As per discussion with Triin an extensive engagement is needed and her opinion was that this goes beyond the regular work of a particular staff in the office. Please, let me know, if we could go ahead with the Agreement for Performance of Work with Mrs Gvantsa Gasviani, as indicated in the emails from Triin (4 March) and Mariana (9 March).

I just wanted to get the final confirmation before we raise any contract.

Thank you and best regards,
