Dear Mr. Ivanusa,

Thank you very much for  sending this letter,
topics to be covered during the meeting are very interesting, especially proposed tutorials,
but as you know, Agency have limited financial resources during this year and will not be able to cover expenses for attending this meeting even for one candidate;
at the same time we do not have yet staff dedicated solely to Pharmacovigilance activities, we are looking to hire additional staff,
if it is possible to cover costs for one participant, I will be happy to attend this meeting, especially taking into the account the fact that we are just starting to build this  system  and I have to be in charge of management of the process and it is desirable for me to get acquainted with current developments and advances in this field.
If you could advise me to whom I have to refer regarding possibility to cover expenses, I will be much grateful.

Sincerely,

Tea Jikia

Subject: FW: Invitation to the 41st Annual Meeting of Representatives of National PV Centres, 5-8 November 2018, Geneva

Dear Ms Tea Jikia,

Attached please find a letter from WHO Headquarters regarding the Annual meeting of Representatives of National Pharmacovigilance Centres participating in the PIDM.

This is the 50th year of the  WHO PIDM. The Annual meeting of PIDM will therefore be held in Geneva, Switzerland from 5 to 8 November 2018, with commemorative events to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the WHO PIDM.

The WHO PIDM secretariat at HQ maintains a database of Pharmacovigilance (PV) Focal Points in each Member State. The secretariat has issued the attached letter, to the designated PV focal point in Georgia(National Centre’s Head), inviting nominations (maximum  5 nominees) from Georgia. The letter notes that nominations are to be forwarded to Leticia Megias Lastra ( megiaslastral@who.int), by 18May 2018. HQ will then follow-up with individual invitation letters to the nominated persons.

Participants usually pay their own costs to attend these meetings (travel and accommodation) although, under special circumstances, we could consider supporting the costs for one delegate.

Best regards,

Marijan Ivanusa
