Dear Marijan Ivanusa,
Let us inform you, that the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs agrees with conducting multi-country simulation exercise focused on a flood event, planned for March/April 2018.
Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia and Our agency - LEPL - Emergency Situations Coordination and Urgent Medical Assistance Center appreciate the initiative of WHO to carry out simulation in Georgia and will be glad to participate in the exercise.
Regards,
Avtandil Talakvadze
Dear Mr Avtandil Talakvadze,
With this email I would like to inform you that WHO is planning to carry out multi-country simulation exercise (South-Caucasus countries; at least Azerbaijan and Georgia) focused on a flood event, combined with an eventual outbreak of an infectious disease.
The simulation is provisionally planned for March/April 2018. At present WHO relevant technical team is working closely with the HQ training team in developing a scenario for a Table Top and Functional Simulation Exercise.
To be able to continuo preparations for the simulation exercise we need a confirmation from the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs that Georgia agrees with the simulation exercise. We envisage that WHO will cover the costs of the exercise.
A scoping mission to Georgia is planned end of January-beginning of February 2018, to explain and prepare the simulation exercise, once the ministry agrees with it.
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Marijan Ivanusa
