Dear Sopo,

Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia (MoLHSA) has been producing National Health Accounts (NHA) on an annual base since 2005. However WHO recommends all countries to upgrade this to the revised System of Health Account (SHA) – the methodology that has been available since 2011.

The SHA technical meeting will take place in Budapest, Hungary, 12-14 June, 2018. WHO can cover the costs of participation of two Georgian experts at this technical meeting. We see this as an opportunity to increase the technical capacity of Georgia in the area of health accounts.

Further on we are eager to provide additional technical assistance in this area. We propose the technical mission to come to the country on 2-6 July 2018. This partly coincides with the mission on patients pathways (4-6 July), but in principle it should be manageable, as the focus is different, which means that different national experts will be involved.

I kindly ask you for

-          nominating two participants for the technical meeting in Budapest, 12-14 June 2018

-          confirming the date of the mission on System of Health Accounts, 2-6 July 2018.

I also copy Marina and Keti, as this is predominantly their area of work.

Thank you and best regards,

Marijan Ivanusa
