We believe that this is a great capacity building opportunity for the newly appointed deputy ministers, incl possible other senior level staff.
Funding opportunities can be discussed once we have the information about their interest.

WHO Barcelona Course on Health Financing for Universal Health Coverage
15-19 October 2018, Barcelona, Spain
The WHO Regional Office for Europe is pleased to announce the next annual WHO Barcelona Course on Health Financing for Universal Health Coverage to be held from 15 to 19 October 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. This week-long intensive course is offered by the Division of Health Systems and Public Health of the WHO Regional Office for Europe through the WHO Barcelona Office for Health Systems Strengthening. We invite you and your colleagues to participate in this exclusive training event.
The course will review policy instruments to improve health systems performance through better health financing policy focusing on revenue collection, pooling, purchasing and benefit design. It will explore themes related to universal coverage and place emphasis on policy instruments to achieve efficiency gains. The course will offer many examples and practical experiences from Europe.
This course is exclusively for participants from the WHO European Region. Please find in the attached link a list of all the member states of the WHO Regional Office for Europe.

Please note that the deadline for receiving applications is the 16 of July 2018. To secure participation in the course, accepted participants will be charged a registration fee of EUR 100. The registration fee is payable upon acceptance of application. Once paid, this payment is non-refundable in case of cancellation. WHO will cover tuition, course materials, coffee breaks and lunches on all five days of the course, plus one dinner reception. Participants will be responsible for covering the costs of travel, accommodation and subsistence while in Barcelona.
