Dear colleague,

 

The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport of The Netherlands will host a ‘Fair Pricing Forum’ in the ‘Beurs van Berlage’ in Amsterdam on May 10 and 11 this year. The forum is co-organized by the World Health Organization (WHO).

 

The Fair Pricing Forum is a meeting about the search for a ‘fair price for medicines’  and the balance between innovation on the one hand and sustainability of our health systems on the other hand. For more information, please visit www.fairpricingforum2017.nl. Enclosed you will find a letter from the Ministry of Health as well as the invitation letter and the draft program for the Fair Pricing Forum.

 

The Forum is a global event; all member states of the WHO have been invited, next to representatives of Industry and NGO’s. Given the complexity of the organization of this Fair Pricing Forum, the Ministry would like to request the cooperation of Dutch Embassies and Consulates abroad. At present the number of participants does not match our expectations. The World Health Organization sent the invitation and reminder to the WHO representatives of the countries and general information addresses of the Ministries. It is unknown to us whether the right persons at the Ministries received the invitation. It would be highly appreciated if you could contact the Ministry of Health to inform them about this Fair Pricing Forum and inquire if experts/representatives will be delegated to the Forum in Amsterdam.

 

Also we would kindly ask your support to ensure that participants receive the necessary visa. Please be informed that all persons who register for the conference will receive a personalized letter of invitation.
