Subject: WHO fatality estimates for 4th Global Status Report on Road Safety – Georgia
Dear National Data Coordinator,
Thank you once again for your great support towards the preparation of the fourth Global Status Report on Road Safety. We are now finalizing the analytical work for the report, and are planning the launch of the report in November 2018. Further details on the launch will be communicated in due course.
Please find attached a self-explanatory letter from Dr Etienne Krug, Director, Management of Noncommunicable Diseases, Disability, Violence and Injury Prevention, regarding the data on road traffic fatalities submitted by your country. As we used a statistical model to adjust data for underreporting and other issues, we want to provide an opportunity to all countries for feedback. We would be grateful for your assistance in presenting this information to the appropriate person/s within the Ministry (or Ministries), including the person who provided the official clearance of the data you submitted.

(Attachment2: Methodology)
Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Dr Anesh Sukhai at sukhaia@who.int. As indicated within the letter, any submissions from your government should be made by 20 June 2018.
Kindly note that the Russian version of this communication will follow soon.
Kind regards,
Nhan
