Dear Nino,

As a follow-up of our meeting on 25 October I would like to inform (and partly remind) you that:

-          The answer to the letter of the minister regarding the technical assistance in the area of pharmaceuticals (GMP) have been delivered;

As you know the work may request substantial resources, which we (WHO) do not have. In any case we shall start working as soon as possible and for that reason our proposal is to organize the first scoping mission in December 2017.

Please, nominate a technical focal point at the ministry that could be involved in setting the dates, preparing the programme and organizing the respective meetings. This first mission (Olexandr Polishchuk) could lead to further clarifications and possible action plan, if applicable.

-          Erica Richardson will be in Tbilisi to discuss issues with the new HiT; we kindly ask you to let us know, where the meeting will take place (we assume at the MoLHSA), what time and who will attend the meeting. Ideally participants shall be invited by the ministry. During the first part of the meeting Georgian representatives will provide comments to the draft HiT; in second part of the meeting action plan for finalizing HiT will be agreed; this can be followed by individual meetings with respective national experts, if applicable. Please, keep in mind that Erica has to leave latest at 17.00

Thank you and best regards,

Marijan Ivanusa
